As CEO of iPekoSol, I have positioned myself at the forefront of addressing one of Africa’s most critical challenges: reliable energy production and distribution. A stable and accessible energy supply is not merely a utility—it is the backbone of economic transformation, industrialization, and sustainable development across the continent. This conviction has continuously driven my commitment to developing innovative, scalable solutions.
Central to our vision is the concept of smart energy—the integration of sustainable energy systems with advanced information and communication technologies (ICT). This approach enables the creation of intelligent, efficient ecosystems where both urban centers and rural communities can thrive. By optimizing energy generation, distribution, and management, we directly enhance productivity, resilience, and quality of life.
My journey into this field began with an Engineering degree in Information and Automation Engineering in 2008, followed by hands-on industry experience. I later pursued an MBA in International Business Management, completed in 2014, where I deepened my understanding of global markets and strategic development. During this period, I developed a business concept centered on producing paper and packaging materials from banana stems; an idea rooted in sustainability. However, recognizing structural and long-term stability challenges, I made the strategic decision not to pursue it further.
In 2015, guided by emerging African market dynamics and a strong sense of purpose, my partner Abiba and I initiated the conceptual groundwork that would later evolve into iPekoSol. By 2018, this vision materialized into the creation of two companies operating at the intersection of ICT and renewable energy, sectors that are not only vital for Africa’s future but also strategically aligned with global development trends.
Today, our work is delivering tangible impact: expanding renewable energy access in rural communities while contributing to greater stability in urban electricity networks. Our focus on intelligent, technology-driven electrification ensures not only operational efficiency and ease of maintenance, but also long-term sustainability and measurable improvements in living standards.
